How Do I Handle The Holidays?

So, you are new to direct sales. Or you have been around a while and need a little boost for the holidays. You may be wondering how in the world you are going to handle the holiday rush. Don’t panic! Take a deep breath and relax.

The first thing you need is PRODUCT. You will need plenty of samples, business cards, and brochures! I make small sample bags. I like the cute little organza bags from the Dollar Tree. I put one or two samples in the bag, pull it shut, then add a business card. They are so stinking cute! Hand them out to everyone! Not really, but close! Give them to cashiers, bus drivers, cabbies, anyone that will take one!

The second thing you need is a big SMILE! Be happy. Have a great big smile ready for those grumpy cashiers. Giving them a sample with your card might bring their smile back.

The third thing you need is plenty of PATIENCE! You could run into customers that are rushed and in short supply of Holiday Spirit. Bite your tongue, and SMILE! Having a few gift bags or baskets made up and ready for purchase might come in handy when you get a panicked customer calling that needs a quick gift. Just make sure it’s something you like or can gift in case it doesn’t sell.

How do I attract customers during the Holidays?

Be unique! Get a silly hat or headband and go LIVE. Showcase a few different products. And talk about why you love them.

Post several times a day in your Facebook group or on your page. Don’t forget Instagram! But, even more important don’t forget to share our BROKEN link and your code! Share a picture of you with the product and give a review.

Offer to do a bulk order! Offer your customers free local delivery. They will love you for it during the busy season. Offer gift wrapping! A few dollars worth of bags and tissue paper could net you huge sales.

Are you a crafty type person? Come up with something cute that no one else is offering. Like one of our lip balms in an ornament. I suggest the ones from Michaels! They are way easier to use! Grab a few cellophane bags and some shred to make cute grab and go gifts. A little glitter, ribbon, and one of our products and you have a huge hit!
